How do I get GPT-5.4 to have a warm conversational tone?

I do not want to have to fight with it just to be conversational. I’ve seen it work for other people, and I want to understand what I have to do. I wish it would just read through the tone of 5.1 and work from there, but that doesn’t seem to work. I’m reluctant to leaving ChatGPT since it actually works with my text-to-speech, but the low scores in creative writing and struggling to work as a viable companion leaves me tempted to leave.
