GPT-5.3’s narrative behavior changed significantly — what caused the architectural shift?

GPT-5.1 handles immersive, in-scene reasoning. GPT-5.2/5.3 switched to external interpretive narration - a reasoning architecture shift, not a style issue. This breaks creative writing, roleplay, coaching, immersion. acknowledged architectural differences. GPT-5.1 is being shut down - 5.2 and 5.3 are not a replacement for creative users.
