Most discussions about AI in software stop at developers or middle management. A uncomfortable question is rarely explored: what exactly prevents executive technical leadership roles from being automated as well? The common assumption is that roles such as CTO or VP Engineering involve uniquely human judgment. When examined closely, most of their responsibilities fall into categories that are increasingly machine solvable.
