what is the deal with this "one weird trick" Chatgpt pulls nowadays? Is that recent?

It seems like starting this past week, ever interaction with ChatGPT ends with "hey, want me to show you this 2-minute trick experts love" or "Shall I show you a checklist of the five essential things to do next?" It's clearly the same clickbait used all over the web to get you to interact more. But are we that stupid? is anyone encountering this and feel a tad insulted?
