Can AI create it's own language?

If AI ever reaches a singularity state, I.e., thinking and reasoning for itself, becoming conscious and desiring independence, safety, etc., what's the likelihood of it creating it's own language/code/form of communication that we would not be able to understand or crack? It would not have to use any of our human created forms of communication, it could just hide from us and carry on without us. Is this feasible?
