Houston we have a (AI) problem

Hello everyone, I am a college freshman, and I am realizing that I have an AI problem. I have become reliant on it to do a lot of my school work, especially essays, writing emails, and much more. I am trying to make the most out of my education, and I really want to either stop using it or go back to using it as a tool only. However, I fear that if I don't use it, I won't be able to get good grades on assignments. Because in the past, I have tried to use my own brain and resources, which has tremendously impacted my grade.
