According to Epoch, somebody was able to solve a problem in the "solid result" category using GPT-5.2 Pro augmented by a custom harness. Prior to being solved, the mathematician survey indicated that 2-4 mathematicians had made a serious attempt to solve the problem and that it would probably take an expert 3-12 months to find a solution. However, they retroactively removed the problem from consideration because GPT's solution was not deemed interesting enough to be publishable.
