Is AI-generated content actually helping authors or just making everyone's writing worse

Been thinking about this a lot lately. I work in content marketing so I use AI tools pretty regularly, and I, keep going back and forth on whether it's making me a better writer or just. lazier. Like yeah, the productivity boost is real. Outlining, first drafts, brainstorming when I'm stuck at 11pm. All solid use cases. But I've also caught myself publishing stuff that technically ticks all the boxes and says absolutely nothing interesting. The stats floating around are kind of wild too.
