From zero to a RAG system: successes and failures

Ever found yourself knee-deep in a project where you thought, “What in the world am I doing?” I’ve been there! Just a few months back, I embarked on a journey to create a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system from scratch, and man, it was a rollercoaster ride of successes, failures, and everything in between.
