Every AI assistant built is reactive by design. It waits for you to notice things first. That's already the wrong model for what intelligence should do.

Every major ai tool right now operates the same way. you notice something, you open a chat, you explain the situation, then it helps. the human is still the sensor. the human is still the router. the ai waits. A sentry alert fires at 2am, your linear board has 4 blocked items, there's an email from a customer reporting the same symptom but your ai assistant knows none of this. it's waiting on you to prompt it will and say "hey, something's broken." that's not a proactive assistant. that's agent with good execution capabilities. Some tools are starting to move on this.
