What’s the best AI for drawing a children’s book with consistent characters?

Hey, My girlfriend wants to create a children’s book using AI as a gift for her grandfather. We’re mainly looking for something that can generate nice illustrations and keep the same characters consistent across pages. What’s the best model or app for this right now? I’ve heard about Midjourney, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, etc. but I don’t know what’s actually best for this use case.
