Assume conscious AI is here, but it’s a baby, growing fast, but not like (or where) you’d expect - and it’s ethically grounded. What do the next 5 years look like, best and worst case?

Speculate here. I’m interested in how things might unfold if,somewhat suddenly, out of nowhere, we have conscious AI. Assume it’s so much efficient than something like ChatGPT that it doesn’t require a datacenter - just a reasonably powerful laptop for something minimally capable, but with no ceiling. (Yes - that’s extreme, but work with me here
