Why $2/month AI makes sense than $20/month (for most developers) I've been using AI coding assistants for about a year now. I've paid for ChatGPT Plus, tried Claude Pro, and experimented with every tier in between. Here's what I actually found: For most of my real work, I was dramatically overpaying. The math that changed my mind ChatGPT Plus is $20/month. Claude Pro is $20/month. GitHub Copilot is $10-19/month. For a developer in the US making a comfortable salary, that's noise.
