Why isn't JoyAI Image Edit getting any love?

I really would like to try this model and compare it to the editing capabilities of Qwen and Flux Klein. The problem is that I can't get it to work. The ComfyUI "" isn't really there. I tried this custom node: but it wants the full.ph models (30+ GB for the diffuser, 18+ for the text encoder -> not going to happen on my hardware) I then tried this other custom node: using these: (which given the name, should be the same person/team (smthem), so should work, right? Wrong. the text encoder keeps throwing errors.
