A startup called Traza just raised $2.1M to prove a point: AI agents can run enterprise procurement better than humans. Their agents analyze vendor contracts, execute purchase orders under a set threshold, and flag anything above it for human review. In their pilot, enterprises with $500M in annual procurement were leaking 11% of post-contract value, roughly $55M, through missed deadlines, pricing drift, and manual errors. The design logic is clean. Below the threshold, the agent executes autonomously. Above it, a human approves. All activity is logged.
