Acceptance of AI style images

So, at work I was generating some images using Gemini that can work well as a blog post header. It doesn't need to be anything fancy, but just some visual. Usually stock photos are used, but I really hate the soulless and blandness of it. Gemini's images where, despite my prompting, having some typical AI aesthetic: so kind of polished, some visual clichés. However: it did the job of creating something that looks good and goes well with the blog. My co-worker preferred the stock photo aesthetic. I don't get it. Who cares that it looks like an AI generated image.
