AI growth thought discussion

AI Safety AI Business

Hi, I think most discussions about advanced AI underestimate a critical variable: rate of recursive self-improvement. Human cognition is bottlenecked by biology - slow learning curves, generational turnover, and energy constraints. An artificial system, however, could iteratively redesign itself at digital speeds. That creates a fundamental asymmetry: what takes humans centuries could take such a system hours or days. This implies that the transition from human-level intelligence to superintelligence is unlikely to be linear. It’s plausibly a phase shift.
