The biggest AI risk may not be superintelligence - but optimized misunderstanding I think a lot of AI discussions still assume the main danger is: “the AI becomes too intelligent.” But increasingly I feel the bigger risk is something else: AI systems becoming extremely good at optimizing flawed representations of reality. A hiring system may not “understand” a human being.
