Foreshadowing of AI in media

I'm not sure how spell this out. But isn't it kind of mind-blowing that some sci-fi movies or shows got so close how current "AI" is working? See Star Trek, ship computer always needs very specific questions, it isn't creative, it always needs a human to ask for a solution. Holo-Deck needs a prompt, and so on.
