A benefit of humanoid robots - no retrofitting factories

Something I just randomly thought of - one of the benefits of humanoid robots is that they can be sent into factories built for human workers already. There is not need to spend millions, or potentially billions, in retrofitting the factory with automated technologies. Instead you can just replace workers with robots. In this way the robots are also very versatile and could be used in any existing factory, whereas for automation it has to be engineered from scratch if it doesn't exist already. submitted by /u/dflagella [link] [comments.
