What are your arguments for believing we are approaching the singularity?

For me, it’s the way AI has improved (evolved) since its launch. I wasn’t very aware of robots being improved and it was the final nail in the coffin for me. They’re still not as good of a replacement for humans in all domains but I think for domains robots will surely outperform humans. I have used it for coding in the past. It would give descent code with some bugs and somehow wasn’t able to get rid of any.
