We developed and validated a deep learning (DL) system for automated diabetic classification using anterior segment ocular imaging a readily accessible alternative utilizing standard photography equipment. The system leverages visible biomarkers in the iris, sclera, and conjunctiva that correlate with systemic diabetic status.
