This paper analyzes TeX's fundamental defects in compilation and user experience design to illustrate its limitations on compilation efficiency, generated semantics, error localization, and tool ecosystem in the era of LLMs. As an alternative, Mogan STEM, a WYSIWYG structured editor, is
