The New AI Coworkers and the Governance Issues we will face

I’ve been turning this over in my head ever since I read the Gartner and Deloitte reports. Forty percent of enterprise apps shipping with task-specific agents this year, and by the end of 2027, that same batch of projects is predicted to evaporate because the teams behind them skipped governance. That feels like driving the highway with the windshield taped up. I’m honestly worried. We’ve already started handing assistants autonomy in my own work - agents who triage tickets overnight, who start taking action before I even log in.
